xside is a collaboration of: (i) GSMA Ltd. (the “GSMA”) through its “4YFN” and “MWC” brands; and (ii) Advanced Music SL (“Advanced Music”) through its “Sonar” brand. The GSMA collects personal information in order to provide you with our services and products. We collect information you give us, and information we get from your use of our services and products.
We collect information you give us, for example, when you create an account with us; register to our events like the Mobile World Congress, Mobile 360 Series, and Global Mobile Awards; require a service; download one of our publications or apps such as Sustainable Development Goals app; or subscribe to our publications or newsletter such as Mobile World Live. The information collected includes (but is not limited to) your name, job title, employer name, work address, work email, and work phone number.
From time to time, the GSMA receives personal information about individuals from third parties. This may happen, for instance if your employer is a member of the GSMA and signs you up for an event or training.
We process your personal information for account administration, to deliver the products and services you require, and to inform you of GSMA-related events, meetings, content, initiatives and other benefits or opportunities associated with the GSMA or the industry. The GSMA may also use this information to help the GSMA understand your needs and interests to better tailor our products and services to meet your needs.

We do not sell personal information to anyone.
We also do not otherwise reveal your personal data to third-parties for their independent use unless (1) it’s in connection with GSMA events; (2) you request or authorize it, for instance by registering to a summit or a partner programme, or giving permission to exhibitors and sponsors to scan your attendee badge at the event; (3) the information is provided to our agents, vendors or service providers who perform functions on our behalf; (4) the information is provided to comply with the law, enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others; or (5) to GSMA affiliated companies
Transferring Your Information Outside of the European Economic Area (EEA)
In using your information as set out in this Policy, it may be transferred to countries outside the EEA and Switzerland. By way of example, this may happen if one of our associated companies or our service providers is located in a country outside the EEA. Reasonable access to your personal data will be provided at no cost upon request. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time frame, we will provide you with a date when the information will be provided.
We provide many choices in relation to our marketing communications via our preference centre, but you may also request that the GSMA cease using your data for direct marketing purposes. You may unsubscribe at any time by using our preference centre. In addition, each marketing communication we send will have an unsubscribe option which will allow you to stop you receiving further marketing. We aim to action requests to stop being sent marketing communications within 10 working days of receiving those requests, but it is possible you will receive some marketing in the period prior to that change being made.
You also have a right to rectify the record of your personal data maintained by the GSMA if it is inaccurate, and to request that the GSMA erase that data or cease processing it, subject to certain exceptions. When technically and operationally feasible, the GSMA will—at your request—provide your personal data to you or transmit it directly to another controller.

The GSMA retains data for the duration of the customer’s or member’s business relationship with the GSMA.
